Scottish Water has expanded solar generation at Blairlinnans treatment works. Another 648 panels raise the site total to 1,672 and are expected to supply around 40% of its electricity demand.

European Energy has secured support for four German wind projects. The 89.6MW portfolio now has long term remuneration as the developments progress towards financing and construction.

Endesa has started repowering its Coriscada wind farm in Galicia. Forty ageing turbines will be replaced by four 7MW machines while the existing 24MW grid export limit is retained.

Vestas has launched its V182-7.2MW turbine for lower-wind onshore projects. A 182-metre rotor increases swept area while keeping rated output at 7.2MW.

Nordex has launched its N193/7.X turbine for European lower-wind markets. The 193-metre rotor targets higher energy yield while retaining established Delta4000 electrical and control architecture.

ABO Energy has secured tariffs for three German wind projects. The 102.2MW portfolio combines new development with repowering across three federal states.

Renewables supplied 54.1% of EU electricity generation during second-quarter 2026. Solar became the largest renewable source, while national renewable shares ranged from 19.8% to 97.7%.

RWE has secured auction awards for two German wind projects. Jüchen 3 and the Seedorf repowering scheme are planned for commissioning in 2028, subject to final investment decisions.
