Croatia increased electricity imports as renewable output fell sharply nationwide. Hydropower strengthened considerably, but the increase was insufficient to prevent higher net imports despite falling electricity demand.

ABL will provide marine assurance for Germany’s Ostwind 4 connection. The 2GW project will use 525kV HVDC technology to move Baltic offshore wind power to the transmission network.

Spain has opened consultations covering eleven gigawatts of grid access. The proposals cover renewable generation and storage at Just Transition nodes, including a dedicated competitive process for Guardo and Velilla.

OX2 has handed Romania’s 99.2MW Green Breeze wind farm over. The 16-turbine project is operational and supplying electricity through its secured grid connection.

Scottish Water has expanded solar generation at Blairlinnans treatment works. Another 648 panels raise the site total to 1,672 and are expected to supply around 40% of its electricity demand.
