Voltempo and Corpay have agreed an exclusive strategic partnership centred on a new commercial model for electric truck and van charging, combining depot-based infrastructure, fleet payments, and electricity procurement in a single arrangement.
Under the model, a selection of qualifying operators will be connected directly to Voltempo’s commercial vehicle charging network through Corpay’s fleet platform. That will allow fleets to locate, book, and pay for charging at participating depots using existing EV charge cards, including Allstar Chargepass, within one billing relationship.
Voltempo is expanding a nationwide network of high-power charging hubs at logistics depots through its role in the UK-backed eFREIGHT 2030 programme. Its wider offer spans site and grid development, charging hardware, and operational optimisation, with its HyperCharger platform designed to distribute more than 1 MW of power across multiple vehicles.
The partnership also introduces a bunkering-style approach to electricity procurement, with power sourced on behalf of customers through a third party. Combined with Voltempo’s Depot Charging as a Service model, which removes upfront investment in charging hardware and a range of ongoing non-commodity charges, the structure is intended to offer fleets a more predictable route to depot electrification.
Depots fitted with Voltempo charging infrastructure will also be able to make spare charging capacity available to other fleets within the network. That shared-use approach is intended to lift utilisation of installed assets while broadening access to heavy-duty charging capacity as electric freight deployment increases.
