European Energy has secured financing for its Cornwall hybrid project. Danske Bank is providing £58.1 million for the 68MW solar and 47.5MW/95MWh battery development already under construction at Indian Queens.

ACCIONA will build two battery systems beside Spanish renewable assets. The 33MW/66MWh programme covers two-hour installations in Cuenca and Palencia, with both systems scheduled to enter operation by the end of 2027.

Grid-scale solar supplied a record 9.4% of Ireland’s July electricity. Wind contributed around 22% and 614GWh, while gas supplied 43% and net electricity imports accounted for approximately 24%.

ORLEN has commissioned a 42.2MW solar farm at Mažeikiai refinery. The 45GWh-a-year installation is expected to meet around 7% of ORLEN Lietuva’s electricity demand and reduce annual procurement costs by approximately €4 million.

Enefit has commissioned its largest Polish solar farm at Strzałkowo. The 45MW plant is expected to generate around 45GWh annually and raises the group’s Polish renewable portfolio to 78MW.
